Hairstyles convey a lot about your personality. They can be boring or creative, laid back or formal and anything in between. With a disconnected haircut you can be a lot and then some more. It generally has two types of haircuts in one and at times more than two as well.

The idea is to have a pronounced difference between the lengths of the two haircuts. This makes a men’s disconnected haircut quite noticeable. These hairstyles have slowly become a rage and here are a few to bring you up to speed on this growing trend.

1) Hair all the way

Give the base and lower sides of your head a buzz cut like trim.  Also use a Consort Hair Spray for Men, Extra Hold to keep the look intact.

2) Three-in-one

You have the long front hair, medium-length hair on the top of your head, and the buzz at the back and base.  You can keep the front hair on the forehead as a flick and the hair on the top of the head can be brushed forward. Remember to use a gel or hairspray to keep the hairdo in place.

3) Combed back

All you got to do is style your hair using a long lasting hair gel such as the ECOCO Eco styling hair gel. Apply the gel and with a fine tooth brush, comb the hair backwards. That’s it. You are done.

4) Style Up

Apply the spray, roll the front hair and use a blow dryer to set them in shape. Once done use some more The Dry Look For Men Aerosol Hairspray Extra Hold, to keep the hair in place.

5) Tousled cap

Just take a little hair gel in your palms and with your fingers comb them forward. Once done, take the front hair and give them a little spike to create a messy look. This is a great look for a fun evening out with friends.

6. Shaved Sides and Back

This is the basis for any disconnected haircut. Keep the hair on top long and sides short, hence the disconnected look.

7. Long on Top

With the top long you can style it how you’d like. In this cut it’s brushed forward but it’s also allowed to do a thing of its own.

8. Gentlemen’s Cut

If you thought professional looks didn’t include this type of cut, well, here’s proof that you were mistaken. Check out this classy side parted look.

9. Angular Fringe

Disconnected cuts are all about combining styles. That’s why something like this works even though it shouldn’t because of the odd combination. The hair on top is long and styled into an angular fringe.

10. Punk Style Top

Finally we’ve got a look that says you don’t care what anybody else thinks. Are you going to style this look?
